The IB-94 blaster pistol is a contemporary of the legendary DL-44 — but rarer, and more demanding in its upkeep, which is precisely why it suits a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter rather than a mass army. Its design is based on the real-world 1894 Bergmann pistol, a detail cleverly embedded in its very designation. Din Djarin drew it to shoot out door controls on Maldo Kreis, to kill stormtroopers during Grogu's rescue from the Imperial safe house on Nevarro, and to dispatch his former partner Toro Calican on Tatooine.
